DIY Home Made Organic Cholesterol Buster Remedy Having had a previous blood test for Cholesterol Levels & refusing to take Statins my Doc. Called me back for another test 6 months later. These blood tests revealed that my Cholesterol count was still high. This is when I started eating Organic Oats every day Raw one day Slightly cooked the next & So on, sometimes twice a day My Doctor, GP understood why I didn't want to use the Statins And agreed that Only 1 person in 20 Gets any benefit from them !The rest of us simply have to put up with the Side Effects Which only add to some problems we might already be suffering from Or Bring a problem we don't have. I saw my Doc again a month ago following further blood tests He knows I'm into alternative medicine & was Amazed, saying, " I don't know what you're doing, whatever it is, keep doing it" Not only was my Cholesterol back to Normal but Also my Thyroid was now Back in Balance again, After years of upset, which again, I refused to use Pharmaceutical medicines for !! This I put down to Lessening my Intake of Fluoride How do I know the Oats Cut my Cholesterol? Because This is the only thing I changed in my diet Hope this helps You. Go to: http://www.annals.org/content/152/7/4... And Google "Statin Side Effects", I don't want this stuff in my body, thank you very much. "Millions of people take statins to reduce cardiovascular risk, and about 5% of those who take statins develop skeletal muscle symptoms and increased creatine kinase levels (1). A variant in the gene SLCO1B1 increases susceptibility for this side effect by 5-fold (2). We reasoned that variants in other genes could occur in patients who were referred to us because of increased levels of creatine kinase and muscle pain or cramps. Objective: To describe 3 patients in whom statin treatment unmasked an underlying muscle disorder. Case Report: A 70-year-old salesman with no history of skeletal muscle disorders received simvastatin for hypercholesterolemia. He developed myalgia after long bicycle rides; however, he continued to take simvastatin for an additional 2 years. He was eventually evaluated for myalgia and a creatine kinase level of 250 U/L. The family history ... " This from " The Lancet" http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lan... "Statins are possibly the most effective drugs for the prevention and treatment of hypercholesterolaemia and coronary heart disease. They are generally well tolerated, however, they do cause some unusual side-effects with potentially severe consequences, most prominently myopathy or rhabdomyolysis (Damaged Muscles. Ed.) and polyneuropathy. (A neurological disorder that occurs when many peripheral nerves throughout the body malfunction. Ed.) We noted that the pattern of side-effects associated with statins resembles the pathology of selenium deficiency, and postulated that the mechanism lay in a well established, but often overlooked, biochemical pathway—the isopentenylation of selenocysteine-tRNA[Ser]Sec. A negative effect of statins on selenoprotein synthesis does seem to explain many of the enigmatic effects and side-effects of statins, in particular, statin-induced myopathy."
